If you travel to Dahab (Egypt) you will arrive at the Sharm el Sheikh Airport.
Depending on the duration of your stay you will need to get a fitting Visa for your holidays.
If you stay up to two (2) weeks you DO NOT need to buy a "big" Visa for 15 USD.
As you pass the passport control you'll get a small one (a simple stamp) for free. Please not that this Visa is for the Sinai only and you will not be able to travel outside like you'd need if you plan to visit Petra in Jordan or Eilat in Israel.
In case you stay longer than two (2) weeks or plan to visit Israel or Jordan, you'll need to buy a "big" Visa for 15 USD which is valid for 4 weeks.
Further Visa are possible to get in El'Tur which is 200km away from Dahab.
There you can apply for a 1 Year Visa or a Half-Year Re-Entry (or both).
Please note that a 1 Year or Re-Entry Visa is only available with a big Visa.
Big Visa may be bought at ANY Counter in the Arrival Area of Sharm el Sheikh Airport. Not only at the Visa Counter.
Transfers to Dahab are offered by any Hotel or Camp in Dahab.
